Queen Mary's College, which is on the threshold of its Centenary Year (2014), has the rare privilege of having distinguished alumni. On account of being a forerunner in women's education, it has among its alumni women who have held high office and others who have made a significant contribution towards transforming society.
Membership in the Old Students Association is open to past students and teachers who have taught in the institution. The enrolment fee for outgoing U.G III year, P.G II year and M. Phil students is Rs. 150/- . Life membership is granted on the basis of payment of this fee for three consecutive years. The option of a onetime payment of Rs. 500/- for life membership is also available. The status of patron is given to a member on payment of Rs. 5000/-. In view of the upcoming centenary celebrations, a sum of Rupees 500/- is also being collected from every member.
A Planning Commission of the OSA (comprising 15 life members) has been functioning from 2005-2006 onwards. This group of members plays a key role in channelizing the resources of members (i.e. the help that members are able to offer) for the growth of the college. One of the outcomes of this initiative is the aid given to meritorious students who are in need of financial support.
