Infrastructure

• The Intermediate Music course was introduced in the year 1916.
• The college was the first Institution to start BA Music course in the year 1930.
• Further, MA Music was started in the year 1993.
• The Department is offering the Research studies M.Phil and Ph.D in Music from the year 2006 onwards. 
• The department is a full fledged research department offering courses in Music starting from UG up to Research level. 
• Students may start as beginners to learn music and definitely emerge as good academicians and performers.
• For teaching, technological Applications like audio recordings etc., are supplied enabling each imbibe the best in academics as well as practical avenues.
• The students beginning to learn from Under Graduation evolve as notable musicians and performers.
• The Syllabus, Teaching Methodology is seeded with proper infrastructure focussing on imparting the best to the students.

• Being a Research Department, all the Faculty members (including Guest Faculties) are with Ph.D Degree and  contributing and presenting papers in  Music Seminars, Workshops and Conferences in National and International  level along with December Music season Conferences and programs.
