PROFILE 

I'm Dr.B.Mekala ,
An enthusiastic Archeologist with highly commended in my "Temple in an around Madhurathakam Thaluk" PhD Thesis since I've contributed by discovering Hero Stone Sculpture near Venkateeswar Temple Tank , Megalithic Burials , Rare Sculptures of Bairava of Pallava period and Egapatha Moorty Sculpture. State Archeology department of Tamil Nadu worked after my discovery report submission. 
I've also presented a couple of International Journal regarding Art and Architecture of Sri Kondanda Ramar Temple and Venkateeswar Temple.
I've been a part of Gudikadu and Arikamedu excavations. 
As I handles Art and Architecture Paper , practical knowledge seems to be more essential so I conducted a field visit for my student's team to Thusi Mamandur Cave Temple of  Mahendravarman and Kanchipuram Temples.

Discoveries during Field Study :

• Hero Stone Sculpture near Venkateeswar Temple Tank  : Hero stones were created to memorialize a person's heroic achievements.  This Hero-stone would have been placed in memory of a hero who died while fighting to avoid tank breaches during the flood. Because Madurandakam lake endures numerous breaches, people worship him as God, and this practice continues even today . So it completely reflects our people's culture of "thankfulness".  
• Megalithic Burials 
• Rare Sculptures of Bairava of Pallava Period :  Kadapperi  Sri Venkatesvarar  temple  at Madurantagam  also  enshrines 4  forms  of Bhairava  namely   Kala Bhairavar,   Unmatha Bhairavar,   Asithaanga Bhairavar  and  Swarna Akarshana Bhairavar,   found  installed  at the  north-eastern  corner of  the  inner prakara  facing  south  standing  in samapatha  postures,  three of  them  with typical  juvalsikha  head dress  shown  flowing in  upward  conical shape  while  the last  image  namely  Swarna  Akarshana  Bhairava is very  differently  profiled with  volute  shallow gentle  hair  dress with  his  left leg  shown  slightly  projected  out  the knee  level.
