Area of interest: Quantum Chemical Calculations, Nanoscience and Crystal Growth

She is heading the Department since the year 2012. Having worked abroad for many years, she uses her experience to improve the quality of education provided to the students of the department. She was awarded the ISPA award for Sustained Research work in the year 2013. 5 Students have received their Ph. D degrees under her guideship so far and 1 more candidate is pursuing Ph. D under her guideship currently.
