About Department
The department was established right from the inception of the college with the first principal Selvi Delahey taking classes. Right now it boasts of almost 250 students most of whom are raw beginners. Every year sees at least 1 or 2 students who opt for a Masters degree in French. Ours is the only government college in Tamil Nadu that offers French. The department is a boon for the students many of whom may not be able to afford exhorbitant fees for learning French in private Institutes
Vision
To ensure that every student who passes out of the department is equipped with the basic skills in the French language
Mission
To motivate the students to communicate orally in French thus equipping themselves with the basic requirements of Foreign Language learning.
