The separate research room is available in the Department of Historical Studies with good infrastructural facilities. LCD Projector, Video and Audio equipments are present for efficient research guidance. Students can access the Internet in the General Library and are into the N-List. Separate computer is available in the Department for the benefit of both the staff and the students. The books and journals in the Department Library are of good help to the student community to pursue their research effectively. The thrust areas of Doctorate research degree are : Modern History, Gender History, Environmental History, Tribal History and Socio-Economic History of Modern Tamil Nadu.
