Historian/Author/Public Speaker/Digital Creator

Dr. M. Raziya Parvin possesses a brilliant academic record and has over 25 years of teaching and research experience.  She was awarded Ph.D. in the year 1999 by the University of Madras for her thesis entitled “Empowerment of Women in Tamil Nadu”.  She has authored four books, contributed articles in books and reputed journals and has also gained 19 Google Scholar citations, i-index and h-index as of 2022. Recently her work “Saluting Women in Indian History - Combatants, Creators, Conquerors, Champions, Changemakers” has won the “Golden Book Award” for the year 2024.https://hi-in.facebook.com/goldenawardsGBA/ ]She has good proficiency in Tamil, English and Hindi. Her skills include teaching history, promoting women well-being, educational management, team leadership, communication and conflict resolution. With the aim of empowering young women in the society, she also participates in numerous motivational speaking, career counselling, student welfare, public welfare activities out of personal passion and continues her journey.

  • Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Teaching Excellence (Arts) – 2019 by the Marina Labs – Research and Development, Nerkundram, Chennai during November 24, 2019.

  • Arignar Anna Award – 2021 for Best Teaching – 2021 by Mathi Arts Academy in commemoration with Arignar Anna Birth Anniversary during 19th September, 2021.
  • Best Woman Award – 2023 by Tamil News International and Police Magazine on account of International Women’s Day during 8th March, 2023.
  • The book entitled ”Saluting Women in Indian History: Combatants, Creators, Conquerors, Champions, Changemakers" has won the Golden Book Award 2024 given by Wings Publication International on 2nd February, 2024.
