The Department of Zoology started its research activities in the year 2002 with M.Phil., followed by Ph.D in the year 2012. As on date, 9 students have completed their Ph.D course. 18 students are pursuing their Ph.D.  All the staff in the department are doctorates and are qualified to conduct research.
