About Department
We have a well-equipped lab with 30 systems with the latest Software. We frequently invite delegates from Corporates and conduct Seminars and Workshops. Also, yearly we conduct our association meetings through which, our students are exposed to the current situation of the IT industry. Our students get placed in good IT Companies like TCS, WIPRO, Accenture, etc., Our students are also asked to attend Add on Courses like Tally, Networking, etc.. to add value to their degree. We also offer Computer Basics and Web Designing as Non-Major Electives to other department students of our college. We are planning for starting PG Course and research in the near future.
History
The department was started in the academic year 2012. We have six faculties in our department and all have completed their Doctorate. We offer the UG course BCA for the students. In the academic year 2014-2015, our first batch of UG students successfully passed out of the department with an overall pass percentage of 90%. We revise our syllabus every three years to be on par with the IT industry.
QMC has got approval from AICTE , a technical autonomous body in Delhi for starting MCA course from the academic year 2023-2024. MCA course is affiliated with University of Madras and we will be following the norms of University of Madras for all our academic activities.

Programme Outcome
The outcome of the UG program in Computer Applications would be to create an individual with very high knowledge in the subject concepts, develop good communication skills through frequent seminars and digitally conversant through presentations, get inclined to analyze and solve problems, have a quest for enquiry and learning.
- The program also gives abundant opportunity for students to pursue disciplinary cum systematic learning,
- enhance and explore her communication skill set ,
- undergo thorough training in analyzing problems,
- motivated to learn through questions and updated topics ,
- work in teams
- to take initiatives ,
- become digitally efficient ,

- be aware of the resources available to equip knowledge ,

- and project their findings globally.
However, it is up to the student to take her thought initiative forward to reach her goal. The skill levels are checked on a scale of 3 and correlated as low (1), moderate (2) and strong (3) for each unit of the course to arrive at the total correlation of skills for the program. Any level of skill below 30 % is not correlated and left as blank.
